The goal was for Izzi to raise $25 for, which she visited Repairers of the Breach with me at work last winter. Thanks to my awesome neighbors and facebook friends she raised $480. After the GoFundMe fees, Izzi took a $433.46 check to Repairers tonight. They were awesome. Rev. West and the staff welcomed her by name and made her feel special. Thanks so much everybody for your generosity.

Ayden Berman was riding his bike on Brown Deer Rd. when he was hit by a car. Aside from being a little shaken up, he’s OK. According to his father Joel Berman, Ayden’s first words after being hit were, “My mom is gonna kill me!” – Bella De Sisti

Dave Racine isn’t happy. A family of red squirrels has made
a home in a tree near his house. He said, “They eat fruit and get all excited
and make a lot of loud noise!.” The squirrels knock down apples and nibble on
them, he explained. Resembling
chipmunks, they look like tightrope walkers while scaling the fence and power
lines. “They like fun,” assumed Dave since they seem to have to problem entertaining
themselves. Dave has resorted to a,
“if you can’t beat them – join them attitude.” So they’re now trying to become
friends. – Bella De Sisti
If you walk by Paul Veksler’s house on Rexleigh Dr., you might see something a little creepy. Is it haunted? Not quite. Paul, an avid Halloween fan, set up a spooky hologram of a lady looking out his kitchen window. If you’re lucky enough to see her, wave! Bella DeSisti
